IQC: Core Module Online

The Core Module of the DAN Instructor Qualification Course is a required step to becoming a DAN Instructor. Before participating in this online training module, discuss training opportunities with your DAN Instructor Trainer. If you haven’t contacted a Trainer yet, browse the Instructor Directory to find a DAN Trainer in your area.

To be a DAN Instructor, you must be a Dive Instructor with a recognized training agency or a leadership-level diver (ex: DM, AI or DiveCon) with a recognized recreational scuba training agency and a CPR/First Aid Instructor. To teach some classes (AEDS, Oxygen for Aquatics and Advanced Oxygen) you will also need to be a CPR Instructor.

You will also need to be a DAN Member.

You will need to complete the exam at the end and present the certificate you receive to your Trainer. Please print it out.

After completing the Core Module, either with your trainer or online, you will take the appropriate course modules for the programs you are interested in teaching – Oxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries and Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) for Scuba Diving, for example.

Begin the Core Module Online in English, Español or Português
